Rising Arms Flow to Ukraine: A Threat to our National Security?

Washington is concerned that ongoing weapons support for Ukraine is hindering the US’s ability to deter a Chinese invasion of Taiwan and win if conflict arises. A recent think-tank analysis warns that the US would run out of long-range, precision-guided munitions in a war with China over Taiwan in under a week, a problem referred to as “empty bins”. The Pentagon Press Secretary, Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder, dismissed the report, stating that the US military will always be prepared to support any requirements.
