Oregon’s Democrats: Silence and Excuses

Oregon used to be a beacon of opportunity, boasting affordable housing, quality public schools, low taxes, and a thriving business environment. Now? Not so much. We’re staring down the barrel of a crisis: sky-high housing costs, underperforming schools, exorbitant taxes, heavy regulations, rampant drug addiction, and a homeless crisis that blankets our streets.

Who do you blame for this mess? One way to find the answer is to take a hard look at who’s been in charge. Spoiler alert: it’s the Democrats.

Oregon hasn’t seen a Republican governor since 1987, and the Democratic stranglehold doesn’t stop there. The Secretary of State has been a Democrat since 1985—except for a brief interruption between 2017 and 2020. The Attorney General? Democrat since 1993. The Treasurer? Same story. The Oregon Senate has been in Democratic hands since 2005, with a whopping 17 out of 30 senators carrying the party’s banner. And in the House of Representatives, the Democrats have maintained control since 2007, with 35 of 60 representatives sporting the blue.

With this kind of power, you’d expect accountability and answers, right? Instead, all we get are the same old silent excuses we hear from Kamala Harris. So, Oregon Democrats, when are you going to stop passing the buck and start addressing the very issues you’ve let spiral out of control?

Enough with the excuses! Listen to Richard Emmons break down here in this segment:
