A Tragic Reminder of Gun Control Failures
To quote the late Jim Morrison, “There’s a killer on the road.” Shots rang out last night during a family-friendly Halloween event at Vancouver Mall. Bullets hit three, and one of them died. Think of those families today and say a prayer for them.
Hundreds of people fled in panic.
Police are still searching for the killer, so think about that when you go out the door this morning. Why do you think more than 1 million people in Oregon and Washington have concealed carry permits? Sometime today, liberal politicians in both states will moan about how more gun laws would have prevented last night’s tragedy and terror.
Bullfeathers.
Voters chose leaders who refuse to enforce laws we already have, procrastinate on prosecution, and hesitate to lock up criminals. When police finally catch this killer, here’s what I expect to learn: He’s underage, and the law says he can’t even possess a gun. The law says he has no right to carry that gun. And the law says you can’t murder. Ninety-four percent of all mass shootings in America happen in so-called “gun-free zones” like Vancouver Mall.
Follow that one if you like; I don’t. I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by six.
